It's so sad that Dimmesdale has passed. Even though we don't know how, we still are all affected by it. I think that the way that Hester was treated throughout this whole expierience was way to harsh. Yes she sinned and did a bad thing but I think that she deserved a second chance and not to be outcasted by our community. I feel for Hester having to raise Pearl on her own like that and Pearl not having a father figure all because Dimmesdale didn't want to confess and own up to the sin he did. I hope that my family to come will live happy lives here in our great community and make sure not to make the same mistake that Hester and Dimmesdale did. But honestly the people in our town just escalated the whole situation more than it needed to be especially with Hester just having a new born baby to take care of. And I mean how could Dimmesdale love with himself like that? He let Hester take all the blame for something that he was a part of also. These are some interesting times we live in today. Today I read the articles titled "3 Easy Ways I Geared Up For a Pop Quiz" and " 5 Ways Your High School Counselor Can Help With College Prep". Both of these articles were very interesting to me and I learned a lot of information that was unknown to me before. From the first article that I read I believe that the authors purpose was to give the reader tips and tricks to be ready and ace any pop quiz that occurs throughout school. Some key points the author used included to look for hints, ask past students how the pop quizzes were formatted, and finally, in genral, just to stay on top of your work in school. The authors argument in this article was that if the reader was to take these key steps before taking quizzes they would do well. The author of this article was Emily Liu. I believe that she is the proper source of information because she is one of the authors for the page "More Than A Test Score". Now the second article I read was more interesting to me than the first. The authors purpose of this article was to show all the great uses a counselor has to offer. Some key points used in the article include that counselor's can plan high school courses, can recommend different colleges, give you volunteer opportunities, and write you recommendation letters to colleges. The authors argument here is that counselor's are there for you to use as a guide. So take advantage of the opportunity and use them! The listed author for this article was "Guest Blogger" which shows that their information might not be fully accurate but from what I knew before it seemed to be legit. In both articles the authors used a technique which I thought was useful and that was to not overwhelm the reader with a bunch of information, but just to keep it simple with just a few key points, but still having the full affect of what need to get acrossed to the reader. I thought that the author of the second article went into more depth than the first which gave me a little more knowledge but overall I learned a lot of new information about both articles and enjoyed reading them.
